chuckChuck Kizer is the Lawrence County Clerk

After successfully seeking reelection in 2006, Chuck has continued to make improvements to the County Clerk's office and the services provided to the citizens of Lawrence County.

Since taking office, Mr. Kizer has made many improvements in the Clerk's office.

Many services are now accessible online.  Making it even easier to:
  • Renew vehicle tags
  • Apply for Marriage License
  • Manage business tax
  • Apply for Notary

Chuck Kizer and wife Becky of 33 years live in Saint Joseph and they have one daughter, Lori Carter and son-n-law Bubba Carter. Lori and Bubba also live in Saint Joseph.

Before Chuck was elected County Clerk in 2002, he was self employed in Loretto from 1977 to 2002.

Chuck is a member of Loretto First Baptist Church. He has been a member of the Loretto Lions Club 21 years and the Saint Joseph Lions Club for three. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Lawrence County Seniors Citizens and the Board of Directors of the Lawrence County Public Records Commission.  He is a member of the Tennessee Association of County Clerks Notary Committee and the Tennessee Association of County Clerks Board of Directors Organ Donor Committee.

Chuck served as City Mayor of Saint Joseph (1990-1994). He has served as a board member with the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce (1991-1994). He has served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Tennessee Association of County Clerks (2007-2008). He served as President of the Saint Joseph Lions Club (1991-1992). He served as President of the Loretto Lions Club (1993-1994) and served as the Treasurer of the Loretto Lions Club for 8 years.
